All along the year, the city of Savonnières presents a cultural season with a great variety of events: theatre, concerts, magic shows, expositions, dance performances… There is something for every taste and every age.

Art exhibition
Since 1992, Savonnières offers to the art amateurs one of the biggest paintings and sculptures exhibition of the region. Every two years at the beginning of May, about a hundred of artists reunite to show their eclectic art techniques at the « Serres de la Tuilerie ». It is a place where the two guests of honour, the members of the jury and the artists can meet with the art students and the public. Every style is represented from the abstract, surrealistic or impressionist paintings to the still life or the most realistic academic landscapes.

Farmers market
The farmers market of Savonnières « Marché des Saveurs » takes place each year the first Thursday of August beginning at 5 pm.
You can discover all kinds of local products such as the famous « poires tapées » (a special kind of dryed pears), goat’s cheese, local wine, honey, cookies and bread and many more items.
Discover the Place des Charmilles on the banks of the river Cher, listen to the music performed by Marcel & Marcelle and the trio Retro Swing. Have dinner in the middle of the place or just have a glass of local wine or bear and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. You can also seize the opportunity to make a boat trip with the association of the Boatsmen of the Cher on one of their traditional boats, learn how to cook without leaving any rests and let your children go for a poney ride.
